Not what we expected but still worth the experience. We are here at the end of dry season and I'm under the impression during wet season there is much more mud and you don't have to take it from a bucket. Grounds were clean and seemed maintained. One thing I didn't like was the changing area wasn't really private so when I went in there were already 2 young women in there finishing up changing. I waited for them to finish before I changed myself.

The welcome was less than warm compared to what I experienced in Fiji. A man guides you through the process with military-style precision; you have to hurry. Everything is timed, there's no time to relax: 3 minutes for the mud bath, 5 to rinse off, 5 for the hot water, and not a second more. It's quite unpleasant to bathe under the watchful eye of a guard! He rushes you and is determined to sell you a massage. You have to wait until the last pool to finally be free to enjoy the last one. The facilities are basic, and given the price, they could have been improved.
The water is very warm and pleasant, but overall the experience is really not great.

Cash only.
Fun outing.
Skin felt great afterwards. There were some quite big steps unto the pools. Great to see lots of locals there too.

Fun and exciting experience. The water does heal. We'll, it healed my shoulder that had been hurting for a year. No meds helped. By the 3rd pool, my shoulder didn't hurt. 3 days now, still no pain.

If you are looking for something different and fun to do in Fiji, this is it. The staff here are amazing and friendly, Bee is the lady who mainly looked after us and after giving her our camera took so many fabulous photos. You start off in the garden area getting completely muddied up from head to toe. Once dry you enter the first of 4 pools, each less muddier then the next ending in a really hot pool. All are naturally heated from the earth. You can get a massage at the end by one of the ladies. We really enjoyed our time here and suggest a minimum of an hour if not having a massage.

We decided to adventure off. I wanted to see the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, this was just down the road. Amazing place. You turn down a dirt road, several miles in you find the sign for the Garden of the sleeping Giant, we did that 1st. Then we trekked down the road further to find this gem. A small lot with a one w lay bridge greats you. You pull up and BOLA, you are greated by friendly staff. Pay your fee, cash only. You park in a large open lot and your guide will explain what to expect. There are places to change if you need to and restrooms available. The 1st stop is the mud buckets, you slather it on, all over. Let it dry. While it is you can bask in the warm fijian sun or explore the little trinket stands. Several local women sell jewelry and fijian wood carving and other stuff. Once dry you start the baths, there are 4 total. They also off messages and yoga. We each did a one hour message. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time. I highly recommend it. The biggest culture shock for me is that they do not have pets, so when I asked about the dogs they looked at me funny, I asked id they were friendly and the breed, I was told they were white and brown🤣. They were both very friendly and even wanted to play.

The Sabeto Hotspring was a dope experience. The mud we put on our bodies where from the volcano. It gave your skin a good smooth feelin after you rinsed it all off. Some of the hotsprings where warmer than others but it was all tolerable. I highly recommend especially earlier in the day!! Good excursion to do. Roads getting there are very bumpy and its CASH ONLY..

Probably my most memorable experience in Fiji! Bea took me on a beautiful enchanted journey with her starting with an experienced healing massage and then a joint mud bath, walking around the lil village to dry and then to experience the 2 hot springs and 2 cleansing pools with Bea was a holistic, healing, beautiful and deeply humbling experience. I will NEVER forget Bea or the Hot Springs!

We had a great time at the Hotsprings! It was a wet and cold day but it was still so nice in the warm hot spring water. My skin feels so soft after the mud bath, will be going back again before I leave Fiji!

Another great experience for early in vacation and acclimating to time changes. Less a mud bath, but more painting yourself or others in your party from a bucket of mud. Then letting it dry, before cycling through 4 pools using naturally occurring hot springs to clean you. Absolutely add the massage at the end. Bea was phenomenal. Note: it is many people in one communal room, but they are great.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. There was a woman who followed my friend and I around and took so many photos and videos for us. She had us pose all around and truly put the work in. The experience overall was one of the most relaxing. It was a super cool experience and I couldn’t recommend it more. While the mud dries, you’re shown local crafts and I think that is such a great business model. I definitely bought some gifts there. After going through all of the pools i got a massage… SO GOOD!!!! The women were fantastic and it was so so good. Definitely stop here on your journeys. There were also some super cute puppies.

A truly worthwhile experience at a locally owned gem.
I made the drive myself—just a heads up, there’s about 4 km of off-road path between villages, so be prepared for a bit of an adventure.
Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Anni, who took wonderful care of me throughout the visit. She gave me a tour, made sure I was comfortable, and even captured plenty of great photos for me.
I opted for the full package, which included the mud pool and a deeply relaxing one-hour body massage. I also rented a towel on-site, which was super convenient.
To top it all off, I enjoyed a refreshing fresh coconut before heading out.
There’s ample parking available, which is great .
One thing I really appreciated is that the mud pool doesn’t have that overpowering sulfur smell often associated with hot springs.
A small suggestion for the owners: adding some jet water features to the pools would be an amazing bonus!

We had a 10-hour layover in Nadi, so we decided to make the most of it with a quick little adventure — and it turned out to be one of the most relaxing things we could’ve done.
We grabbed a taxi from Nadi Market in the downtown area and headed to the mud pools. The round trip — including 90 minutes at the pools and a ride back to the airport — cost us $80. It felt a bit pricey, but the driver waited for us the entire time, so honestly, it wasn’t a bad deal. (Tip: try to negotiate a little — prices can vary.)
We were greeted by a warm and friendly local auntie who guided us through the whole experience. First, we changed into our swimsuits (that’s all you really need to bring), then lathered ourselves in thick, warm mud — such a fun and strange feeling! After that, we moved through a series of hot pools to wash off and relax.
After hours of travel, soaking in those pools felt amazing. The place was totally empty when we arrived around 10:00 AM, so we had the whole area to ourselves. Super peaceful.
I also treated myself to a 30-minute massage for $40. Let me just say — the lady who did it had magic hands. Strong, big hands that somehow made everything feel both powerful and gentle at the same time. One of the best massages I’ve had in a long time! while I enjoyed massage, my kids were still enjoying hot pool or relaxing with ipad.
We ended up staying for about 90 mins. The entrance fee was $30 per person, and towels were available for $5 if you didn’t bring one. Honestly, for how relaxing and private it was, the whole experience felt like a hidden gem.
If you ever have a long stopover in Nadi, this is so worth doing.

If you’re visiting Fiji, Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool is an absolute must! The experience was incredibly relaxing from start to finish. The mud pool is therapeutic and fun, and it’s honestly the perfect way to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of the area. Smearing the warm mud all over your skin and then rinsing off in the hot spring water felt both rejuvenating and refreshing.
What really stood out was the massage after the soak—it was one of the best I’ve had! The staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about making sure you’re comfortable and relaxed. It’s a peaceful, authentic experience you won’t find at a typical spa.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to de-stress and try something unique in Fiji. Don’t miss it!

This was a very different and clean(:P) experience. Our guide Lizzie was amazing. She was with us all through , helped us with the process and pictures and made it very special and eventful. We went during March 2025(15th ish) time frame and the crowd was minimal . Over all we had fun as family and the environment was very friendly and yes , do visit if you dont mind some dirt on you!

Locally owned business that is worth every penny.
I drove there myself, be prepared to drive a rough 4 km off road between villages.
I was greeted by Anni, she took care of me and showed me around and took plenty of photos.
I did the mud pool and one hour of body massage (full package) I also rented a towel from them which makes life easier.
I enjoyed a cool fresh coconut at the end before I leave.
There are many parking spots in case you are driving.
I ll leave a photo of the prices, they are affordable.
The mud pool doesn't have the strong sulfa odor that is familiar with such hot springs.
For the owner(s), I wish they had some jet water in their pools, it will be a great bonus.

I absolutely ADORED my time at the Sabeto hot springs! Highly recommended to everyone who wants to escape for a couple of hours. Runs as a family business, staff is trained and super friendly, Liti guided us though the whole process and took plenty of pictures for us to remember this extraordinary experience.
Plus it was my birthday and Liti surprised me with the whole staff singing me Happy Birthday! I will forever remember my time here, thanks again!! ♥️

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pools! From the start, the friendly staff made us feel welcome and guided us through each step. Covering ourselves in mud was such a unique and fun experience, and rinsing off in the thermal pools afterward was incredibly relaxing. The natural surroundings were beautiful, adding to the serene and rejuvenating vibe. We left feeling refreshed and so glad we visited. A must-do if you’re looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation!

Was a very unique experience! Came here after hiking up the lookout for the Sleeping Giant. Buna was nice, helpful, and very friendly. She took pics for everyone as we were covered in mud and walking around. A very unique experience. Would also recommend doing the Fijian massage after the mud bath. It was nice to see that locals also come to this place.
